Nando’s Kensington

Location: Kensington High Street

Commissioned by: Nando's Chickenland PLC

Interior Design

The interior design was headed up by Mathilde Whittingham at Harrison.

Insight

This new site for Nando’s needed a real wow factor in an area with lots of competition in places for eating out.

The Solution

In terms of the seating, there were two bespoke designs employed. The ground floor seats had extra high backs with a diamond stitched and buttoned design as seen below. Upholstered in CrestJMT Old English leather in Wine, the seating contrasts beautifully with the pebble wall behind and reclaimed timber panelling.Nando's Kensington High Street Image 2The basement utilised a stitch fluted seat and back with double rows of stitching to add even more definition. As you can see from the image below, the finished effect with the combination of the vertical stitching and the horizontal woven willow panels above make a stunning and rather intimate feeling environment. The seating here was upholstered in CrestJMT Cambridge leather in deep red.

The Results

Working together with Harrison, Nando’s and the main contractor French Joinery, the job was successfully completed on time and on budget.

Congratulations Nando’s on another successful project!

Mathilde Whittingham from Harrison commented, “ I like working with Craftwood as they are very thorough and dedicated. They always deliver a product of quality in the price and scale of time requested. Also, through their upholstery experience they think forward to make sure they will give us no less than we expect.”
