What is Contract Furniture?
- Furniture for public seating is referred to as contract furniture with good reason. It is built for severe use due to the heavier usage it will receive from the public in general. All foams and fabrics used within Craftwood Interiors products are to standard CRIB 5 fire retardancy for contract furniture.
- Both platform and sprung base seating are independently tested to BS EN 15373: 2007 (Test Level 3 – Severe Use) – Strength, durability and safety requirements for non-domestic seating.
- At Craftwood Interiors our highly skilled team manufactures your seating order entirely in our factory workshops after which our experienced site fitters install the product at your venue.
- No construction on site considerably shortens any downtime to you.
- We manufacture for nightclubs, pubs, restaurants, hotels, coffee bars, sports and social clubs, reception and breakout areas, holiday parks, schools, universities, surgeries and medical centres, ferries and cruise liners and all of these environments come with their own particular requirements.
St Peter’s RC School Contract Furniture
This project involved provision of new seating for post 16 students. The brief required a dynamic social space for friendly interaction between students as well as look great and be comfortable. It needed to be tough and easy to clean and in a colour which would not show the dirt and a fabric which would wear well over the years.
