Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the normal lead time?

Normally we would advise you to allow a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks but this will vary depending on our production schedules at a given point in time.

Are all fabrics fire retardant?

Not all fabrics and leather are inherently fire retardant to contract level. Upholstery covers for contract seating need to meet Crib 5 FR level. Many covers however can be treated to this level. We will be pleased to advise on which covers need treating. We would never sell you seating that did not meet Crib 5.

Are all upholstery fabrics included in the price?

Usually yes. Although sometimes a client may prefer to supply us with the fabric or leather free of charge (free issue). If this is the case then we would need to approve that cover for upholstery use, and have confirmation that it was Crib 5. If you are in any doubt as to what we have allowed for in our quotation, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Do you offer a lease option?

No but we can put you in touch with finance companies who specifically look after the leisure/hospitality industry.

Can I collect my seating from your factory?

Yes, we can either install it for you, have it ready for your collection or make a tailboard delivery to your site.

If my project is delayed can you store my seating for me?

Yes but we do charge for this service and we would rather delay production than store your seating

Are all upholstery fabrics and leathers suitable for contractupholstery?

No. Some covers are simply not heavy duty enough or do not upholster well. We will be pleased to advise on whether your preferred cover is suitable for contract upholstery. If sourcing cover for you, this is also one of the factors that we consider.

Some information we may need from you...

When do you need your quote by please?

When are you looking to have the seating installed?

Do you have a sketch/layout/drawing with measurements we can work and scale from?

Do you have a fabric in mind? Is it Crib 5 fire retardant and suitable for contract upholstery? Do you need a pattern match?

Does your seating have to fit around radiators? If it does we can put a grille in either the plinth or capping if required.

Are there any other obstacles your seating will need to fit around? If the seating needs to be on a wall that isn’t straight we can supply cappings which fill the gap between the back of the seat and the wall.

What is the access to the area like? Do we need to take into consideration a narrow staircase or a difficult corridor?

Can we easily deliver to your site? Or are there severe parking restrictions for example?
