Jamie's Italian, Harmony of the Seas

"A whimsical culinary adventure for the senses," was how Royal Caribbean described its plans for a Jamie's Italian restaurant aboard the world's largest cruise ship - the Harmony of the Seas. The third, and largest, member of the Oasis-class cruise ships joined Royal Caribbean's fleet in May 2016 and from November 2016 is to be home ported in Florida. Diners on the high seas will nevertheless be able to enjoy rustic Italian cuisine courtesy of the popular British chef's restaurant chain.

The Solution

All aboard - Craftwood manufactured these deep button back booth seats for Jamie's Italian afloat. For this project Craftwood's seating featured removable backs and seats.

Craftwood also produced its deep button back seating in a pillar box red leather, the style recreating the feel of a Jamie's Italian aboard the world's largest cruise ship.

The Result

Endeavoring to recreate environments passengers can feel at home with whilst cruising the oceans the Harmony of the Seas employs Royal Caribbean's Neighborhoods concept (well it is an American company so US spellings are to be expected!). In this case Jamie's Italian is to be found in the Central Park Neighborhood. It is perhaps apt for what is virtually a floating city. But whether on land or sea Craftwood's seating meets the most stringent requirements while retaining the style, elegance and plush comfort to be expected from the finest liners afloat or hotels and restaurants for those more inclined to terra firma.
