Park House Club, Cardiff
Originally a private members club but now open to all, located in a beautiful 18th century Gothic town house in the centre of Cardiff city centre, Park House is an award-winning French-influenced Restaurant and wine bar with an air of exclusivity. The extensive menu and wine list are the show stopping elements but the venue itself is tastefully decorated to match with the architecture of the building and wow does it look great!
The Solution
If having to ring a doorbell to enter does not scream sophistication, then we do not know what does! Being housed in a Grade 1 Listed building, wood panelling lines the dining room and high ceilings are found throughout which gives it a traditional and elegant feel. Our seating expertise were used in 2 different areas of the venue.
For the Pinot wine bar, we created 3 different but all equally stunning pieces of seating. Firstly are our button back booths, upholstered in a crushed electric blue velvet, on the opposite side of the wall, curved fluted back booths, in a complimenting lighter blue velvet and lastly a tanned leather straight button back banquette. These all created a cosy intimate space for guests to enjoy cocktails and exquisite wine.
In the main dining area curved booths with stitch fluted backs were used to create more dining space. Upholstered in a Mauve fabric to blend in with the freestanding chairs, these banquettes bring a real feel of luxury throughout the restaurant.
The Result
We love seeing a traditional building get a facelift from the inside with décor and interiors, adding a touch of modern style but still encompassing the original architecture. The aim was creating a luxury high end look to match the exquisite menus offered, which we felt Momentum delivered exceptionally well. Even Ed Sheeran and Lionel Richie have enjoyed an evening of dining here together!
