ROAST Bar
Located within the heart of the historic Borough Market, the Roast Bar is an addition to the long standing, deliciously British restaurant Roast. Above the Grade II listed market and within a landmark London building, Roast was created to dedicate the best of British cooking. Roast bar is the ideal spot to relax and enjoy delicious cocktails whilst looking down on the hustle and bustle of London’s Oldest Market.
The Solution
With full height windows to two sides of the bar and being located on the second floor this makes a prime viewing spot for people observing and watching the world go by whilst enjoying a cocktail from their extensive list. With their twinkling festoon lights hanging from the ceiling creating an “infinity effect” with its reflections across the glass ceiling. The beautiful colour palette of fresh green, white and coppery tones that work beautifully with the existing colours and patterns within the building, Roast bar offers a tranquil space for its visitors to sit and enjoy drinks and nibbles whilst visiting the Borough.
We were asked by Lerose Design Studio to create a beautiful elongated soft banquette seat with curved snug corner that lines the viewing window within the bar area. With its thick fluted back, upholstered in a luxurious forest green leather and finished off on its turned legs this seat makes a perfect addition to an already stunning area.
The interiors complement each other magnificently, creating a calm and serene area for pre and post dinner cocktails and traditional British snacks.
The Result
Roast Bar was shortlisted at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2020 and we are over the moon for them and for Lerose Design Studio, they have made such a fantastic job on transforming this into a stunningly cool bar. We can understandably see why it ticks so many boxes for people, it is the perfect combo of chic and relaxation with its laid-back interiors.
